POMONA, Mo (PP)–Pomona Motor Corporation president Jane Comran made an announcement which came well ahead of the anticipated date when she unveiled the newest of PMC’s small trucks, the El Longhorn. “The El Longhorn upholds PMC’s tradition of combining utility, compactability & graphic design in one vehicle for the entire family. Now the whole family can go to town in style, depending on seatbelt laws and whether the state allows passengers in the bed. It’s all about ergonomics.”
Touted among the new features of the El Longhorn are: 1. A real horn from a longhorn. Having the full set would have moved it up out of the compact catgory. The anticipated full-size truck code named, Longhorns, is expected to feature 2 horns, or the complete set that came off the steer. 2. A passenger side that is predesigned for impact with objects. The strategy behind the design is that it will look as if it has already collided with something, therefore, drivers won’t worry if they’re too close to the edge because the truck won’t look much different if they do hit something. In the end that will reduce accidents. 3. A handicapped sticker infused into the windshield giving everyone the right to park in handicapped parking. “Let’s face it, we all have our days where we feel debilitated and walking from the back of the lot can be an emotional strain, which is just as significant and debilitating as physical impairment. It also causes trauma to self-esteem,” said a company expert.
The El Longhorn should be available to the public within a month’s time. Testers tout the trucks “steering” abilities which are said to be as good as rival BMW’s (Burnham Motor Works) sports cars. Drivers are guaranteed a smooth ride and performance similar to Chevy’s popular s-10, although there is no warranty. “Warranties imply something could go wrong. We like to think positively,” explained President Comran. Be the first to enjoy a nice ride down old 63 in the El Longhorn. With prices starting in the $600s, there’s no reason you can’t! It comes in Family Edition, Family Basic, Farming Edition, Ranching Edition, Media Edition (chopped and equipped with an 8-track/MP3 player) or Ultimate.
